so there's this thing called "Xanga" and i "have one". heh.

I do not need to retake Shakespeare. I do have my 5th class. Refund check eta, early feb.

It is getting to be the last week of january and I have not heard from the Jet people. And there is much sadness. But I guess it's for the better or something. : x.

Um... Just doing homework, and finding excuses to not do homework. If I get up tomorrow like I should, I can take a bus to the bank and be back before class, and deposit my $350 paycheck and write my lovely tiny $75 credit card payment and mail that. Next month's payment will be unhappily large, as I have now shunted my cell phone payments to land on my credit card too. So it'll LOOK like more, even though i'm still paying the same, just in one place instead of many.

Steph-from-work said she'd give me a 30 meg usb jump drive, instead of me buying a ~$20 130 meg one from work. And, so... since she's not working there and I don't recall giving or getting contact info from her.... heh. We'll see what happens.

Jap4 class is spiffy, we're in a computer lab in the business college. mwahahah. except they're not set up to allow for japanese typing (yet). Boo.

Film lecture class = eaaaasy. Just show up and read and watch and don't fall asleep and I'm sure I'll do fine.

So all I have to worry about is... thesis. jap-paper. and the trip to akon.

Yes, I'm updating my Xanga. Phear.

Went to work today. Yay me for getting $38. Just about pays for the book I spontaniously bought: "Writing and Publishing your Thesis, Dissertation & Research".

I have damaged the inside of my lower lip against my teeth, from biting down after I put on chapstick. What is that called when you roll your lips in over your teeth and rub them together a bit? The Germans call it "murmel". Anyway, chapstick isn't helping my lips. Grr.

Need to email the Dean/Honors people and ask if I need to retake Shakespeare. Need to contact advisor and get an override into Shakespeare. Bah, /sigh. It's embarrasing.

Don gets internet connection tomorrow, 8 days after they originally told him. Bastards. I still say he should have griped them out till they fixed it last week.

Work was nice and... not exactly mindless but some. Hard to describe what I did... they have a card system for dealing with the books, and I put yellow cards in the slots for most of today. That'll be done early tomorrow though, wasn't much left at all. Not sure what will happen next. Hm. Deciding if I like more knowing what I'll do tomorrow, or not knowing what I'll do tomorrow. I'm glad I'm working. The walk sucks tho, but I can't pack food enough to eat there, I think. I mean, what would I take? A sandwich? They do have a fridge, but I can eat a pretty mean sandwich before I'm full : p. Cheese stick? Take ramen and bowl and spoon with me and wash it and carry it back at the end of the day? Hm. Cause walking To work, then Back for lunch, then back To, then Back home.... ugh. At least I get all the free hot water / tea / hot chocolate / coffee / apple cider I would want. Altho I do have to buy the paistry things. Still. Free hot drinks will be very nice by the end of this week when it's like Zero Degrees and I have to Walk 20 Min To Work. And it will be 20 min b/c I'll be so bundled I'll have to take these tiny mincing steps....

Ok sleep.

The one thought that went through my mind was....

If we defeat AIDS...

Something worse will come.

Ok... Livejournal lets you re-date an entry to whenever you want it... Xanga does not. So, if I edit and update this entry, does it just stay right here, timestamp wise? Or does it move to the new time? I guess we'll see.

Anyway, this is the Christmas list. (Makes me wish Xanga did subject lines; the only thing that keeps me sane in LJ.)

I WANT:

-- Blank links because Xanga hates me.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0804820953/qid=1101228207/sr=12-6/002-1367087-0044815?v=glance&s=books - The Learner's Kanji Dictionary, circa $20.

Both of these are by Spahn, and I love the one of I have right now that is Don's, and I need to get one of my own so I can give this one back.

-- A real cable internet connection. Imagine: superfast download rates for Bit Torrent, far closer to 40kbs instead of... 1 or 2 kbs. *gag*. Imagine: not being disconnected more than once every 24 hours. Imagine: on the one day in the past 8 days that I have enough time to play EQ, it wouldn't decide to have vomiting spazzes all day! I cannot overemphasize how lovely a cable internet connection would be. It would also be $400 to have said cable internet until May. Of course, I would milk every last cent out of it. But I still need the $400 in the first place. Maybe if I make enough money over Christmas, I'll do that anyway.

-- An air filter/cleaner thing. Maybe I can just borrow the one out of the downstairs of the house, since Matt doesn't sleep there. It wouldn't be missed for just a few days..... right?

Yes, I need to make money over Christmas. I also need to find out if there's half a hope of having the truck up here over Christmas break. Marco won't be here, Don will most likely be in Little Rock by then... I'll need some way to get to Walmart every once in a while. Maybe I can have the truck for like two or three days a week. If I work at DSBookExchange, I can just walk to work... so I won't be holed up here the /whole/ break.

Ah, the sleep will be nice.

Anyway, that's my Christmas list so far.

Ok, now I'm amused.

So I post a reply to my brother's post, and i typo'd a word, 'thing' instead of 'think'. normally I'm quite forgiving of innocent typos, but this one was bugging me so I posted a second reply that edited my typo.

On my first reply i gave one eprop, cause his post amused me. on my editing post, i gave 0, cause it was just a fix. as i hit the submit button, I noticed that there was a 'comment only ' option. Then, when it finished loading, I looked at the little eprop box and it said i had given 0. I was wtf grr. so i had to post a 3rd and give him his eprop back, and i started it with the line, 'wtf is an eprop'. So I post that, then I go back and look at his main page.....

and the little banner add at the top was for "Xanga Help: What is an Eprop?"

I laughed.

Scan that, Gmail. I mean Xanga.
